Vieques is a small caribbean island in the Caribbean
Sea seven miles off the eastern coast of the main island of Puerto
Rico. Vieques is part of Puerto Rico which is also a territory of
the United States
Vieques is within sight of the US and British Virgin Islands. St.
Croix can be seen from the top deck on a clear day and St. Thomas
is visible from other parts of the island.
Most major airlines fly to San Juan's Luis Muñoz Marín
International Airport (SJU). From there you can catch a flight on
a smaller airline to Vieques' municipal airport (VQS) or take a
taxi or private driver to Fajardo and board a passenger ferry for
a 80 minute trip to Vieques.
